Accommodation suggestions
Camping
Pont Kemys campsite. This is well located in the lovely Usk Valley, 300 yards from a pub. There are not many camp sites in our area of South Wales. However, this is a good one.

Local Self CateringWe suggest you have a look at these two properties that are very close. You may be able to negotiate a short term part week booking, and then share with other sailors and friends. Blackthorn Lodge, Coed-y-Paen or Hawthorn Lodge, Coed-y-Paen
Other types of accommodationWe suggest you use the accommodation lists at SailRacer. Sailracer link for Llandegfedd Sailing Club. Click on Accommodation to see everything from the nearby Pontypool Metro Hotel to Bed and Breakfasts to the Celtic Manor - recommended by a certain Barack Obama!
Local Attractions (for non-sailing partners?) Here is a quick summary of some local attractions to while away the time when waiting for the sailing to finish. Blaenafon is a World Heritage Site because of its industrial past. Some things to do whilst your partner is sailing Local Attractions

General Club data can be found under the menu "About Us" pages. The reservoir is owned run by Welsh Water, and the club is one of many users of the Watersports Centre. At the gate near the dam wall, tell the staff that you are taking part in the sailing event and they should let you through without the need to pay any day permit fee. The Watersports Centre is the further building past the launching bay and dinghy park. Please report in to the Sailing Club team, who might be upstairs in the main meeting room. You will need to register and find what any local rules are about parking or racing.
